Hush ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Hush mobile application (com.hush.app) and this website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.
Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google via Firebase Authentication. We do not store your Google password.
Usage data
With your explicit permission (Usage Access on Android), we collect foreground app session data including app identifiers, session duration, and timestamps. System apps and uncategorized noise are filtered where possible.
Preferences
We store your selected goals (up to three), timezone, insight delivery time, language preference, and notification settings.
Generated content
Daily insights, summaries, and reports generated for your account are stored so you can browse insight history.
How we use your information
- Provide personalized daily insights tailored to your goals
- Display your screen time dashboard and trends
- Deliver push notifications at your chosen time
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
- Respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal usage data to third parties. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
AI and insight generation
Your anonymized usage patterns and goal context may be processed by AI services to generate daily insights. Content is generated specifically for your account and is not shared with other users.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data and usage history within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Third-party services

- Cloud infrastructure — secure hosting of your account data
These providers process data under their own privacy policies and our data processing agreements where applicable.
Your rights
You may:
- Access and export your data by contacting us

- Withdraw Usage Access permission in Android Settings

Children
Hush is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
